Carnival

PTA's carnival will be held on Friday, April 25 from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00. The carnival is VVE's biggest social event of the year, and it features sports, games, face and nail painting, food, and tons of other fun activities. Ticket sales cover prize and program costs. Bring the entire family to "Cheetah Celebrates" and enjoy being part of the Valley View community.

Introducing our Spanish podcast

This spring, Mr. Kubas introduced a weekly podcast to keep families informed about VVE happenings.  This week, we are happy to add a podcast in Spanish from Vice Principal Mr. Cantu.  Please click here for a link to both the English and Spanish versions.

VVM Honors & Nobel Program

Valley View Middle School will conduct an informational session on its Nobel Program, a humanities curriculum for gifted students.  The meeting will be held on April 21 at 6:30 in the Valley View Middle School auditorium.  All parents are welcome to attend to learn more about this special program offering.  Please see the program flyer for more information.

VVE Photos

Mr. Lee captures many wonderful images of our students working and playing.  If you have the chance to visit during a cheetah rally, you'll see a slide show featuring his latest pictures.  Visit the photo stream on his webpage to see more.

New immunization laws begin September 2014

The Minnesota Department of Health has revised its immunization laws. Beginning Sept. 1, 2014, the new rules apply to children in childcare, early childhood programs, and students in grades K through 12. Please check with your health care provider to make sure your child’s immunizations will be up-to-date. You can also visit www.health.state.mn.us/immunize or call the Supervisor of Health Services Eileen Kern at 952-681-6518. Please click this article's title to read a summary of the changes.

Recent winter school cancellations

The two cancelled school days due to the extreme cold temperatures will not require an extension of the school year. The district’s student contact time is well within the state’s mandated range and therefore, the days will not need to be made up. The 2013-14 school year is expected to end on June 11, as scheduled. Student safety remains a top priority in our school. We appreciate your understanding and support.
